A useful answer requires separating three questions: does the digital product exist, does the historical story establish the mechanism, and has the advertised device performance been independently validated?

1. The product and the performance claim are different things

The merchant offers downloadable instructions. A purchasable information product can exist even when the performance claims for a proposed build remain unverified.

2. What would convincing evidence look like?

Useful validation would account for every energy input, use calibrated instruments, document the test setup, report uncertainty, run for a meaningful duration and—most importantly—be independently replicated.

3. The seller's own caveat matters

The current merchant disclaimer describes the product as an experiment and says it has not been technically assessed. We therefore do not characterize the advertised household-energy performance as proven.

Practical decision

If your goal is experimentation, evaluate the material as an experimental information product. If your goal is reliable backup electricity, compare established technologies as well.
